My first ebook, Ripples, goes on sale in October as planned and will be available in a lot of places - Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble Nook, Kobo, and Tolino so far, with more pending. There might be a few technical issues with Amazon but I'm doing all I can to get those ironed out. Read on for more!
The final clan I would like to introduce you to is the Bot’ha (BOAT hah) Clan. I’ve been working non-stop on Ripples, adding all the finishing touches to my manuscript, staying up late. Please forgive me for taking so long to finish the introductions.
Today’s clan is one of my favorites. They show up in book two, Over Land & Under Stone, so please look forward to that. I debated on whether or not to share the info about them now, or closer to the time that book comes out. But why not? They’re different and fun to discuss.
Ahhh! It's so good to be back up and running again. I hope it stays that way for a while.
I'm continuing with my Meet The Clans series. I haven’t written much about this clan yet. So their information isn’t as complete as some of the other clans. I hope you’ll enjoy what I can share with you today.
Something strange has been going on with Weebly lately. I haven't been able to post photos or slide shows since I added the slideshow for introducing the D'Koruyin Clan. I'm not sure what's going on but for now, those introductions are on hold. And as I'm getting ready to tie off all my loose threads and publish Ripples, I'm going to take a break from blogging. I may periodically post a short message like this one to keep you updated, but there won't be regular posts. I'll be posting notes on my facebook author page if you'd like to read about the clans there. Just click the highlighted portions to go check it out. If you do, please be sure to like my page or follow it so you can stay updated with what I'm doing at facebook. And I'm hoping to create some short slide shows to upload to YouTube. As long as I can link to YouTube videos, I'll be able to share my inspiration photos with you. But it's 'do-or-die' time now and if I don't get through this final edit, the book won't be out on time. Yikes!
I hope you'll stick with me. I'm going to have to take a short haitus. It's a scary thing to think your followers won't come back because you didn't have a Shadow Clone Jutsu you could rely on when tasks are insurmountable. Thanks and much love to those who stick around!
It's now time to introduce the most confusing clan. If you read through my 6/7th revision on Wattpad and have a hard time understanding the Shinnoahn's behavior and moods, then you're not alone. I haven't figured it out yet either. But here's what I do know about them.
Allow me to introduce you to one of the warrior clans of Y'Dahnndrya. Two things that set this clan apart are their ability to hide their emotions in public and their way of speaking. They don't use contractions!
If you've been following my blog for a while now, you know I write fantasy novels. You've also been introduced to some interesting words you're probably wondering how to pronounce. No worries! I've got that covered. (And you can always feel free to ask me about words and pronunciations in the comments on any blog post. I'll get to those as soon as I'm able, which may not be right away.)
I didn't purposely set out to create a massive world with tons of story options when I first started writing the Children of Y'Dahnndrya series. It sort of expanded on its own. The more I wrote, the more blanks I filled in, the more windows of story opportunity opened up in front of me. What started with a vague idea about prejudice between different cultures has branched out into a world of six clans who know about each other. But they don't really know one another. They don't know the little things that bring each clan their own sort of beauty. They don't realize they are similar in many ways.
But you don't have to remain in the dark. Well, at least not as much as the Y'Dahnndryans, anyway. Please allow me to introduce you to the Clans of Y'Dahnndrya.
I want so much to do a good job in everything I work on. Right now, I'm overwhelmed and feel like something is lacking somewhere. But this feeling doesn't mean I should give up. It drives me on to do better, to find a way that works.
I've been promising the bio for the last character for a few days now. As promised, though a little late, here it is.
I was so excited to mark a major part of my project DONE that I totally skipped the planned post for yesterday. Our weekend was pleasantly busy, filled with family and activity as it was. Friday was our day off (home-school) instead of Monday and we truly enjoyed it. I can tell you more about it in tomorrow's post, perhaps. For today, let me get back on target.
