As I said in yesterday's post, this week is a crazy busy week. I won't say a whole lot on the responses, but I'll keep sharing them here. I hope you'll enjoy them. Also stay tuned for another book review tomorrow. I know those could be more intensive, but I honestly don't have time to devote that much attention to the book reviews. I just want to help authors get their work seen. You never know how readers will catch wind of your work. On to the challenges!
#WritingtheSenses Day 21: Quote About Details
Coming up this week:
OK, so while details are important, it's the refinement of those details that really are the kicker for an author or a reader. That's why the next seven days will be focused on refining the scenes I've shared with you over the last seven days. (Well, technically six, I guess!)
#fantasywipjanuary Day 21 - What's your favorite joke?
I don't do jokes. I don't tell jokes. I don't play pranks on people. I am a person on a mission and those things sit in my mind as something that just gets in my way. Usually. Now my dad on the other hand, loves to tell jokes and play pranks on people. <sigh> I could tell some of his jokes, but they really aren't the same without his singular mannerisms and dialect. His favorites are Boudreaux and Thibodeaux jokes. He's great fun to listen to but I just don't think the jokes would be as funny without hearing them.
Anyway, just because I don't tell jokes doesn't mean I don't enjoy comedy from time to time. I love George Carlin and Dry Bar Comedy and British comedy. So for this challenge, I shared my favorite Monty Python sketch: The Ministry of Silly Walks. IG-ers only got to see a GIF but you guys get to watch the whole thing. :)
I hope you enjoyed today's post. And if you're joining in the challenge, I hope you'll share some of your results with me. I'd love to see how it's working for you. If you share on social media, please use the hashtag (#writingthesenseschallenge) so I can follow your posts. Until tomorrow...
