You'll notice there's been a title change. I hope it will accurately and simply reflect the content of my regular Wednesday offerings: book reviews, what I'm currently reading, and what I've added to my to-be-read stack. What do you think?
As we move into April, who knows what will happen considering the circumstances that have been affecting every continent, except Antarctica. I may not get enough posts prepped in time, depending on how crowded our internet signal becomes once everyone starts having to stay home. I'll do my best, though. I just wanted to let everyone know if I start missing posts, it's only because I wasn't able to get enough done in advance. Y'all stay healthy!
On to the bookish things!
Contemporary Cowboy Romance Book Reviews: Operation: Married by Christmas & Dream With Me, Cowboy by Debra Clopton
Operation: Married by Christmas by Debra Clopton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Debra Clopton does it again.
I keep thinking I'll get tired of reading Debra Clopton's romantic stories but she really has snagged me again with this book. While it's not my favorite of her works, the characters are interesting and the plot line worked well for me to stay invested in the tale. In this book, the secondary characters really added an extra power punch with their quirks. And the bits of southern-style humor she writes into her stories had me truly laughing. If you love clean romance with a bit of humor thrown in, definitely give this book a try.

Dream with Me, Cowboy by Debra Clopton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Fun Romance and Interesting Adventure
Reading a romance series can get really monotonous if the characters seem too much alike. Debra Clopton seems to have avoided that so far. I've read several of her books and enjoyed all of them. The little splashes of humor and the quirks unique to each character really liven the stories and make them more believable.
When I started this book, I wasn't sure I'd like the heroine but I did. She's spunky with a big heart...genuine. And the hero was likeable too.
There were a few typos but they didn't put me off reading.
If you love clean, inspirational romance, you'll probably enjoy this one.

I absolutely love the way Debra's books take me back to Texas when it's so hard for me to physically get there. And the way she seasons her books with humor is just so typical of true life in the south in general. If you spend a significant amount of time in the south, you'll come across some interesting characters with great senses of humor. So yes, Debra Clopton is great at writing characters I can believe and relate to. Try these if you're looking for something to pass the time happily. They're clean stories while staying real and relatable in many ways.
I've linked Debra's name to her author website so you can check out all her books.
#CurrentlyReading: A Royal Masquerade by Allison Tebo
I decided to break this series up and spread it out a bit. Her books are good, and the writing matches the setting so well. I was pleasantly surprised, but when I thought about it, after following her IG posts for a while, I shouldn't have been. Allison pays attention to details. Good stuff!
I've linked the photo to its Goodreads page so you can read the whole description. I've also linked Allison's name to her website so you can stay up to date with what she's doing.
#TBR: Own It:Leaving Behind a Borrowed Faith by Michael DiMarco & Hayley DiMarco
I've been wanting to read this book for at least three years. I finally found a copy of it at our local Mardel store. It sounded super interesting when I first saw it and I'm looking forward to digging in soon.
I've linked the authors' names to their websites. One is part blog/part podcast links. The other is more like what I expect from an author website. I find it interesting how each author utilizes a website. We're all different, so it's no wonder we'd have differences in how we design our websites. :)
