Made it to week two of the April Book Notes! Woohoo! How are you guys doing? I hope you're all well and healthy. We're doing our best at my house. :)
This week, I'm finishing up book reviews from 2019, as well as sharing a book I'm currently reading and one I've added to my to-be-read list. I hope you'll read through to the end and maybe see something which piques your interest. On with the book notes! Contemporary Romance Book Reviews: A Christmas Wish (Sapphire Bay #3) by Leeana Morgan & The Best Friend's Billionaire Brother by Bree Livingston
![]() My rating: 4 of 5 stars Well written and interesting This book was well written, having little to no formatting and style issues. The story itself was interesting. The only thing that seemed odd was the build up to action that never happened. I kept expecting more. The characters had interesting backgrounds and were, I think, well crafted. This book is a clean read with a happy ending. If that's your thing, definitely give this one a try. View all my reviews ![]() My rating: 4 of 5 stars Pleasantly interesting story I have only two real complaints. 1. It's "y'all" and not "ya'll". 2. There were a couple of other glaring typos, too. Those were the only reasons I gave four stars instead of five. The first reason is a major pet peeve of mine. I did love the story and the characters. I think my favorite thing about this story was the believable interaction between characters. Bandit was my favorite character, even though we didn't get to see him much. Overall, I thought this book was a fun and cozy read. If you enjoy contemporary romance that's clean, you'll probably enjoy this one. My Book is On Sale for $0.99 USD! Limited Time Only!![]()
My ebook Ripples (Children of Y'Dahnndrya book 1) is on sale right now through April 30, 2020 for only $0.99! Click the book cover on the left or click here to choose your favorite ebook retailer. If you already own it, why not give a copy to a friend or neighbor? Right now is an excellent time to read when many people have to stay indoors.
Also, if you've been keeping up with my snippets from both Surge and The Tale of Outh'n Durr and thinking you might like to read those when they are published, you might want to read this book before reading the ones which follow it. It isn't totally necessary, but you'll get some backstory on the MC of book 2 and be able to enjoy the adventure at a discount. What are you waiting for?
So what do you think? Did you see something you'd like to try? If so, which book or books did you add to your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below! Are you excited about the lower price on my book? I am! I hope more people will be able to enjoy some reading time while they are unable to leave home.
