The final giveaway is up! But first, we need to congratulate Judy who won last week's prized package. Thanks for subscribing Judy!
Now, who's excited about the chance to win a copy of "The Last Sin Eater" by Francine Rivers? It's one of my favorite books. Until I read this book (sometime between 1996 and 2001), I don't think I'd come across a book that moved me to tears so often. While I was growing up, I interpreted tears as a show of weakness. No one really taught me that outright. I just sort of decided it on my own as far as I can tell. Now I know better. :) This week's giveaway includes a used, good condition, paperback copy of "The Last Sin Eater" by Francine Rivers and a beautiful digital image download of beautiful Anna Ruby Falls in Helen, GA. Want to know more? Read on! Book Review: "Cooper: Charmed by the Cowboy" (Cowboys of Ransom Creek #3) by Debra Clopton7/26/2019
If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know this ain't Debra Clopton's first rodeo here....so to speak. I enjoy reading her clean romances that are spiced with action of the best kind. At least, this is my own opinion on the matter. It doesn't help that her settings take me back home to Texas where I'm fairly certain I left a good chunk of my heart when we moved away. Check out my review of her book...
I can hardly believe how quickly time passes! Staying busy probably helps, don't you think? Well, here we are beginning the fourth week of July and the fourth giveaway begins with it. Have you won one of the giveaways yet? If so, congratulations! If not, well now's your chance. You'll want to try to win Prize Package #4 if you have kids, nieces, nephews or godchildren. One of John's favorites is up for grabs this week. Keep reading to check it out!
Since this book has caused a hotbed of controversy over on Goodreads, I'm turning off comments for this post. I read it as research material, just to get one man's perspective on his own gender. This is my honest opinion of the book and I hope you'll enjoy that much, at least.
John and I are excited to bring you this week's giveaway. One of his favorite photography subjects is the sun on the horizon, whether at sunrise or sunset. I think he photographs it wonderfully, but I could be biased. :) Why not read on to see what's in the prize package this week?
The short story "Ignite" was just the ticket for helping me get back on track with my reading goals. I've also been digging into my 'currently reading' book list on Goodreads and knocking some of those onto my 'read' list. That's helped a lot, too.
I got this short story, which is a prequel for the 'Battlecry' series, when I signed up for the author's newsletter. I'm so happy it's listed on Goodreads because there are authors who share free stories that are bonus material, unavailable anywhere else. I can't leave a review for those or count them toward my goal. I'm not sure how to leave a review for a book that's not listed on Goodreads. If any of my readers knows how to do that, especially when the book doesn't have an ISBN or AIN, I'd appreciate some help. :) Since my review for 'Ignite' is super short, I'm also going to share my review for a special book which took me far too long to read. I started reading 'Hidden Dreams' back in 2014, about the time my daughter and husband were taking lead roles in our local stage production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. I ended up being stage manager for that and the book necessarily took a back seat and eventually got lost in the crashing waves of life. But I've finished it now and shared my review. On to the reviews!
Summertime Giveaway # 2 starts now and would you look at this line up! This week, John and I are giving away Francis Chan's book "Crazy Love", another beautiful rose image, and more! Read on to check out the details.
I've never mentioned it, I don't think, but I get a lot of free books through Bookbub emails. I get more than I can actually read within any kind of foreseeable time frame. *wry laugh* But I'm making a valiant effort. This week's book review is an Inspirational Romance by Miralee Ferrell. Read on to check out my review.
