Welcome back for another round of challenge responses! I'm also happy to announce I'm freshening up my blog. :) I was getting tired of seeing the same photos over and over again. I'm also changing up a couple of the pages to hopefully make the site more efficient and less cluttered. More about that in this post. Read on! #AuthorsChallenge2019 May Edition: Days 24 - 26 I didn't want to do this portion of the challenge until I decided it might be more fun if I pretended to be a cat. I'm from Louisiana. We like our food a lot. But I'd rather eat food than critique it. xD I can't share my exact emojis here but you can always visit my Instagram profile to view any of my challenge posts. I sometimes elaborate a little more here, because it's just easier to type with a full-sized keyboard. Contact Forms General Contact Form: I originally had this form embedded on my site under the "Contact" tab in the top menu bar. Now it's a page with links. Clicking "Anything else? Contact me here." will take you directly to the general contact form. This form is for general questions that have nothing to do with Beta Reading or Book Reviews. Book Review Request Form: It has been forcibly brought to my attention that I need a form for this. I can keep better track of these types of requests if they are properly sorted. So, if you're interested in receiving a free copy of my book with the intent to leave a review, please fill out this form. I will only consider sending you my book if you show me you're really interested. If I think you're going to be a good fit, you'll hear from me. Also, I cannot afford to pay for reviews. People wishing to earn money for reviews need not apply. Book review requests that come directly to my email will be ignored. Beta Reader Application: I hadn't considered much about beta readers and how to keep track of them when Ripples was in that stage. I only had a handful of beta readers and I knew them all personally so it wasn't a big deal. Since I'm considering asking some of my connections on social media for help with beta reading, I'd really like to know a little more about each person and have some way to keep track of each connection. I can't do it yet, but eventually, I'd love to pay for a few beta reader reviews. I haven't gotten any requests to beta read but if I get any requests in my email inbox, I'm going to ignore them. Please fill out the form. Please be patient, no matter which form you're filling out. Google Forms doesn't have automatic notification so I won't know immediately when a form has been submitted. I've made a note to check the forms weekly. It may be several days before I get to yours. Also note your email address will only be kept on file as long as the project you're working on is in progress. I'd like to have names so I'll be sure to thank the appropriate people who've helped make my work better. Another issue that keeps popping up seems to center around my welcome email. If you've newly subscribed, did you receive your welcome email? If so, did the body text show up? I need to know so I can try to figure out how to fix the issue. Please leave a comment below or use my contact form to leave your comments that way. MailChimp only offers tech support to paid subscribers. I'm not at that level yet. You're patience is more appreciated than you can possibly know. All this may seem like too much for prospective Reviewers and Beta Readers. If that's so, then that's all there is to it. I have many things on my plate. This is a better way for me to keep track of what's what and who's who. Also consider, I'll be having to take more time out of my schedule since I have to read through each form that comes in. The forms will streamline the process rather than having to sort through the massive email inflow I usually have going on. I appreciate those who take the time to work with me. For those who don't have the time to fill out my short forms, (and they are short), you probably won't have time to read my massive novels, anyway. My feelings won't be hurt and hopefully yours won't be, either. Thanks so much for reading through to the end! I hope you'll share your input with me. Stay tuned for the next book review on Wednesday. May you all have a wonderful week!
