Last week, I focused mostly on contemporary romance books. This week, it's no different. I've found free books deals seem to be offered in waves, at least with the specific qualities I enjoy. So here's another round of contemporary romance books. I hope you'll find something that seems interesting.
Book Reviews: Clean, Contemporary Romance
Sealed With a Kiss by Leeanna Morgan
Sealed with a Kiss by Leeanna Morgan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Good plot, nice flow
What I liked: The plot was interesting and kept me guessing. The characters were also constructed well. The setting was pretty easy to picture and I loved the emphasis on giving back to the community which was important to both the MCs and secondary characters. Oh! And I appreciated the fade out intimacy scenes and the fact that they were not the main focus of this romance.
Things I didn't particularly care for: It seemed odd to me that, not one, but two ex-Navy SEALS would be so overly emotional because of a marriage proposal. I could believe it on the part of the hero but...the bodyguard, too? There were only a couple of things like this that bothered me, though.
I'd have given 3.5 stars but that wasn't an option. It's a good, cozy evening type of book with more substance than many other romance novels out there. If you like contemporary romance which is more on the mild side, you'd probably enjoy this one.

The Wedding Planner's Second Chance at Love by Kayla Tirrell & Daphne James Huff
The Wedding Planner's Second Chance at Love by Kayla Tirrell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Clean romance with a nice plot and interesting characters! This was a perfect book for reading on such a gloomy day. There were only a couple of things that made me sigh in frustration, but overall, I believe it's well written. Give it a try if you enjoy clean, contemporary romance!

The second one is really short, probably because the book was pretty simple. I remember reading this one and that speaks pretty strongly of the setting and how well that was written.
#CurrentlyReading: Cowboy Reckoning by Barb Han
I don't read a whole lot of romantic suspense. I thought this might shake up my reading stack a little. I'm enjoying it so far. I linked the author's name to her website. Y'all check it out if you think you'd like to see more of what she does. :)
I'm not adding a #TBR selection this week. Trying to keep up with posts and work maintenance for the website has been too difficult. Stay tuned for updates on that next Wednesday.
I have been working hard on Surge this month. Struggling is more truthful, since I find myself in the worst slump I've seen yet. The missing pieces are falling into place and the revision work continues on what's already there, but the work is super slow. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I press on toward the goal.
Thanks for your continued support and encouragement!
Until next time...
