I'm getting down to the nitty-gritty this month. Nano prep time is here! Camp starts in April and I want to be ready to get a lot of editing done during the next two months. I'd love to have The Tale of Outh'n Durr fully loaded on Wattpad and get those final chapters of Surge completed at last! I've definitely got my work cut out for me. Check out what I've been up to this past week! #1WordPromptChallenge Days 1 - 5 Yep. I'm doing this challenge again. I find it helpful in spotting typos and inconsistencies because I have to hop around in the manuscripts to find the words from the prompts. Who knew this kind of a challenge could work so well? Here were the prompts for the past week:
Day 2 - Dim as it was, it broke the dam halting her tears. Day 5 - Ya’el stayed close as Mi’yat led the way into a dimly lit room. A pointed arch framed steps which disappeared into shadowed depths. She shuddered and wrapped her arms tight at her waist. When the Guardian headed for the stairs, she balked. #SelfEditingProgress As of the time I'm typing this, I haven't uploaded any more of Outh'n's story but I hope that changes before this blog post goes out. I'm so busy trying to be sure my blog posts go out on time! As a result, there's only one challenge I'm participating in this month. The other challenges I take on will be the goals I set for myself. I started the work on chapter six (as mentioned above on day four) and by the time this post goes out, I should have another chapter ready for Wattpadders to read. Woohoo! One of the things that took up some of my time in February was a project I volunteered to help with at our church. I was supposed to come up with a program for Resurrection Sunday (you may call it Easter, but I prefer this phrase) and I ended up writing the narration and choosing the songs myself. This makes the task harder for me, but hopefully easier for those participating, especially if they are already familiar with the songs we'll be working on. Thank so much for continuing to read the blog and support me in my work. I hope you're enjoying what I'm able to share with you here and on Wattpad. It would make me so happy to hear from you, whether you like the work or think it could be improved.
Be sure to check back next Wednesday for more reviews and books, and next Friday for more story snippets! Comments are closed.
