My proof copies came in Friday. I guess you could say I was somewhat ecstatic. At the same time, it's also surreal when I say I'm now a published author. I have to chuckle a little bit. And then do a happy dance because I've been working hard to get a book out there. I'm over 40 years old. I've already lived about half my life when you think about it. What can I do now to live in the present and make a positive difference? Or encourage others to be positive? Should I wait to do that? I don't think so! :) Read on to check out my responses for Day 12 of the challenges.

My oldest daughter chose to be Merida for Halloween and if you know her, then you probably know why. The theme for the party she's going to is "Look-Alikes". I'm so pleased with how the costume is coming along, even though it's eating away at my Nano prep time.
The Face of Ripples
I'm not really an excitable person by nature. If you threw me a surprise party, the most you'd get out of me would be a slight jump and a crooked grin. And silly moments are also equally rare, though I do enjoy them. My daughter took a photo of me being silly and hugging my book, but then her phone glitched. :/ Oh, well. This will have to suffice!
There's a bit of a hitch with the paperback, mainly my fault, but the hard back copies are going to be available on time. Woot!
