Welcome back for another round of book reviews! I'm happy to be able to share another book from one of my favorite new authors. The other book wasn't as fascinating to me, but maybe you will find it more to your liking than I did. Check them out!
YA Fantasy Book Review: Guarding Snow (Crown of Stars #5) by Elizabeth D. Marie
Guarding Snow by Elizabeth D. Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another excellent book in an excellent series!
The Crown of Stars series has not disappointed me yet and Guarding Snow is following suit.
Things I love about this book in particular: 1. The broken characters so badly in need of healing and acceptance; 2. The beautifully painted setting; 3. The well-written plot line; and 4. Satisfying closure at the end.
Things I didn't like about this book: There honestly wasn't much. A few typos but nothing that ripped me out of the story and certainly not seen often.
Things I love about the series: 1. Fairytale retellings unlike any other I've seen; 2. Closure in every installment so far; and 3. A beautifully written and rich world also unique from others I've read.
I highly recommend this book and series if you love clean reads, true romance, rich fantasy worlds, and fairytales.

Historical Romance Book Review: A Knight's Seduction by Catherine Kean
A Knight's Seduction by Catherine Kean
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I liked this story for the setting and the plot line. The way the hero changed over the course of the novel was interesting to watch. I how the author really transports the reader into what's taking place. You can tell she's done her research. That counts for a lot in my mind. I didn't see any anachronistic phraseology which was such a relief.
I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys an adventurous, spicy romance. It is definitely not a sweet romance story, but there is a happy ending. I like happy endings, don't you?
