Yes! I've started another challenge. There's only one this time, though. Camp Nano is a huge challenge on its own but this IG writing challenge should help me finish my book. It's already helping. Writing a short synopsis in the heat of the moment always seems to start the creative juices flowing again for me. That was yesterday's challenge. And the first challenge was to write three surprising facts about yourself. I could write lots of surprising things about me. I can't count on my fingers how many times I've surprised people with things I've always considered to be matter-of-fact.
April 2 - Three Surprising Facts About You
April 3 - Pitch Your WIP (With Aesthetic)
I wasn't sure at first what I would do for this one. Then I opted to write a very short synopsis. It's more than three lines but I think it came out just as powerful and intriguing. I've already gotten some good feedback on my IG post. That's always exciting.
"Ya'el Shirasdatir is a maiden of privilege with a calling.
Kol Udota is a battle-hardened warrior tried by stone and leaf.
Both gave up everything they knew to come to Yacan - for different reasons.
She journeyed to fulfill her purpose. He was on a quest for fame and glory.
Both must work together - the impatient, headstrong maid and the serious, hardened warrior - for without a Guardian, Yacan will fall and the last of the Terreilia will die."
